Mid-May to Mid-June 2012
Scott and bear, snuggled up asleep.
Stephen, Emily, and Scott
Scott, after his nap. He tried to take his shirt off and got his arm through the neck instead of the waist!
Sometimes you just look up at the right time and just happen to have your camera! This is typical of one of the moments when I usually don't have my camera and Scott is doing something funny!
Scott, sprawled in Grandpa's chair, sitting like Grandpa, sideways and sprawled!
Scott serves himself some of the cheese crackers his parents brought him!
Scott plays a trio on the piano with two of his cousins, Hanna and Logan!
At the end of a long day, he looks adorable sleeping with one arm around a bear and the other around one of his cloth books!
Serving spoon in one hand, fork in the other, and a spoon laying on the plate. Scott loves pork and beans!
Scott took advantage of some clean water to wash his toys before the water got dirty laundry dumped in it!
We rode bicycles to Eureka on June 12, and Scott insisted on taking Grandpa's water bottle from the bicycle to bed with him! There he is, butt in the air, sound asleep!
Camping pictures, Steven's camera, May 2012
"Can I drive?"
Scott in the kayak with Grandma. He loved it!
Where the river flows out of the lake. Look at the clear water!
Scott playing with Grandpa's compass. Lunch break near Finger Lake.
Grandma trying to catch Scott to change his diaper, with a diaper over her head, hoping to distract him long enough to catch him!
We rode bicycles on some of the trails.

Camping trip at Upper Stillwater Lake
May 13-16, 2012
Scott playing on the ramp of the uhaul.
This is our campsite. You can see Scott at the bottom of his slide, and Steven by the picnic table.
The campsite was graveled, which was hard for Scott to ride on. He kept trying anyway.
Then Scott got the idea that it would be easier to ride on the ramp! I got there just as he started rolling backward!
Tristan and Krystina visited us at our campsite, bringing pizza, chips, and pop! Yay!
Grandpa, with the amazing 'bends backward' knees! Resting after a hard day of playing!
Scott, sitting up on the bunk, claps because he figured out how to make the solar light come on!
Sleeping like an angel! Nap time up on the bunk.
Hike to Finger Lake. 5/15/2012
Scott rode in the backpack on Grandpa's back while we hiked to Finger Lake. It was about a mile and a half to the lake, and it was up-down-up-down all the way!
Scott looks back at Grandma while Grandpa looks out over the lake. The lake is long and thin, like a finger. It's one of the most beautiful in Montana. The water is clear, and we saw some good-sized fish while looking down from the cliffs.
We let Scott get down and run around while we ate lunch. He's playing with Grandpa's compass in this picture.
Just a view of Steven and Scott on the trail.
Scott took a nap in the backpack for a short while.
In just a short while he was awake and looking around with interest. It's unusual to see such a small child so aware of his surroundings, and excited about little things like flowers, fish, and birds.
Afternoon naptime again...for the grandparents, not the toddler! lol Scott dumped his books on Grandpa's legs and a moment later he sat on that black battery box to the right, and read books for a while. I'd laid my camera down by then and picked up my own book to read.
May 2012, Camping and Kayaking
Scott models his new Flip-flops!
"What? What did you say Grandma? I can't hear you say it's bath time..."
Grandpa pushes Scott along Upper Stillwater Lake. Odie tests the water temperature!
We brought a lot of Scott's favorite toys with us. The gravel made it difficult for him to ride his ride-on car, but the slide worked out well. When we got home we found a bunch of gravel inside the hatch of his ride-on car!
Scott, in his life jacket, goes for his first kayak ride, in the front of Grandma's kayak.
A view looking north from the south end of the lake. It's a long, snake-shaped lake, so it's hard to get a picture of the whole thing at once. Very beautiful place.
It put Scott to sleep though! lol
When we got back to the uhaul Grandpa took a nap, and Grandma sprawled up on the bunk with her kindle and read. Scott, having napped in the kayak, played with his toys next to Grandpa's legs. We put the baby gate across the door so we could let in fresh air and light, and keep Scott inside!
Around the first of May, 2012
Sunny spring days mean lots of time outdoors! When the grass is wet we play on the porch. Scott likes the Little Tikes slide!
Wheeeeee!
Up we go again!
We went out to the uhaul to watch Grandpa, who was building the counter where the stove/oven was going to go. Scott runs up and down the ramp a few times before going inside.
"Here, Grandpa, I'll do the measuring for you!"
"I met this guy who said his name was Luke Sky-something, and he gave me this cool light saber!"
Scott teaches his parents how to play in the sand.
