Scott

Scott tries to figure out how to put on his 'bear' slippers.

After I helped him put one on, he took off!

We finally got them both on him!

Tromp, tromp!

I don't remember what he was crying about!

But when he saw the camera he dropped the cry!

We went for a walk. You can see Scott's hand holding a stick, right down in front of me. Grandpa is ahead, watching for cars. Not many people live up here, but some of them that do drive way too fast and come flying around the curves. I need a second or two to get Scott out of the road.

While waiting to be put in the stroller, Scott picked out a couple pieces of kindling from the bucket on the porch. He insisted on bringing them along.

Scott seemed bored, so we took the toys from his toybox and brought in different ones from the big toybox in the shed, the "Grandma's toybox" I've kept for years for the other grandkids when they visit. It sure perked him up!

We went to the fire department dinner and meeting Friday night. It was a regional thing with guys from fire departments as far as 150 miles away. The fire department paid for the food and I cooked it. Amazingly, it all came out pretty good! Krystina spent a lot of time keeping Scott entertained, and we were very grateful.

Krystina and Scott roll balls back and forth.

That kept Scott occupied for about 3 and a half minutes, then he was up and running around again!

Krystina riding herd on Scott as he makes laps around the meeting room.

"Hey Tristan! Is it okay if I put Scott in here and let him play with everything?"

Tristan was busy talking with one of the guys who drove quite a distance to be there.

Scott, Aunt Krystina, and Grandpa.

Scott had a great time exploring but did pretty good at not digging in things.

Tristan was going to take a picture of us with Scott, and as you can see, Scott had other ideas. Namely, running around!

We got him facing the right way, but you can see by how rigid he is that he's going to explode if he doesn't get loose in a minute so he can run around some more!

"Come, Tristan, we shall explore the world!"

Scott tried to climb up the back of the lawn swing. Tristan, Emily, and Stephen came up today for snowmobiing and board games. I wasn't on the ball with picture-taking, but you can see Emily's feet at the right of the picture. Unfortunately, that's all I got of her, and I really wanted a picture of her and her new hairdo. Well, next time, I guess. I try to take lots of pictures of her and Stephen, for Scott.

Scott likes to climb up in chairs and sit there looking very important! Then when he thinks we're not looking, he stands up and turns this way and that way to see what he can reach! :)

One leg up...

Both legs up...

"Let's see, which numbers haven't I tried yet?"

This net is left over from when the kids used to try and catch crayfish over at Dickey Lake. In the summer we use it to skim leaves and pine needles out of the rain barrels before we use the water for laundry. The handle is off it right now. Scott thinks it makes a dandy disguise!

"Agent Double-Oh-Zero, sneaking up on the Grandma with a book..."

"Oh No! I've been spotted! Quick! Hide!"

A very happy Scott, who loves to climb, made it up the slide ladder all by himself today! (Grandma was hovering but being discreet!)

He went down the slide a few times but mostly just climbed up and down the ladder.

Good job, Scott!
